I tried a mobile battery "BOLT" for smartphones that can be charged by plugging directly into an outlet

There are many types of mobile batteries used to charge smartphones at their destination, but many batteries use a USB cable to charge the built-in battery, after use, plug the USB cable into a PC or a USB outlet, or use an AC adapter It was necessary to connect to and charge the battery. In order to save time and effort, "BOLT" is a mobile battery that allows you to insert a power plug into the main body and plug it into an outlet immediately to charge it.

"BOLT" arrives after being wrapped in such a paper bag.

In addition to the main body, there are three branch USB cables (Lightning · 30 pin connector · Micro USB), portable pouch, conversion plug × 3 as international travel kit.

The BOLT package looks something like this.

Battery capacity is 3000 mAh. It can be used with a voltage of 90-240 V, and it can be used in most countries. The standard voltage in Japan is 100V.

Opened

It is clearly stated that the 1-year warranty is attached to the BOLT body and notes.

I took it out. Five LED lights arranged vertically beneath the letters of "BOLT", you can check the remaining battery power. You can turn the power on / off with the square button below it.

Back side

When pulling out the folded plug, it looks like this.

When you overlap BOLT and iPhone 5s, the size is small, but there is thickness.

USB port for output on the bottom.

You can check the remaining battery power from the four LED lights by pressing the square button for about 1 second. When four LED lights are shining, "75 to 100%", three by "50 to 70%", two by "25 to 50%", one representing "25% or less". As I arrived there were four lights, so it is charged near full.

When I tried connecting iPhone 5s and 3 branch cable, I got a warning "This cable or accessory is not certified, so it may not work properly with this iPhone". However, it can be used as it is.

To start charging, hold down the square button for 3 seconds. OK if the bottom LED light turns green.

Then, charging started without any problem.

This cable arrived as a bonus to Kickstarter, but genuine products can be used properly.

The weight is 88g and it's pretty light so it's easy to carry around.

I tried to charge it by inserting it in an outlet and like this.

I tried inserting the conversion plug. This is a "BF" type plug and corresponds to countries such as UK, Hong Kong, Singapore.

"O" type plug corresponds to the Oceania region including Australia.

"C" type plug can be used in European countries. Commercially available conversion plug can also be installed.

If you use 3 branch USB cable, you can charge multiple devices simultaneously ...

Xperia Z1 is 17%, iPhone 5 is 47%, iPod Touch is about 30%, and it can not fill everything.

I tested how much charge I can use with an iPhone 5 with a 1440 mAh battery, and after charging it once, the BOLT battery has been emptied the second time when I charged it to 90%.

Looking at the BOLT being charged with the thermostat, it is about 33 degrees which is not as high as high fever.

Normal smartphone charger needs to be connected via adapter and USB cable, but BOLT is the biggest feature that can be charged simply by inserting it in an outlet. Also, when you go out, just pull out the main unit from the outlet and put the USB cable in a bag, so it saves you a lot of labor for carrying without bulky. Although it is not dramatically convenient, it is recommended for those who carry a charger for smartphones everyday.

BOLT is selling for 59 dollars and 99 cents (about 6000 yen). The color can be selected from 3 colors of dark gray, light gray, blue, and dispatch to the outside of the United States is separately required for 44 dollars 40 cents (about 4400 yen).
