To briefly explain the mechanism of Dreambox, first select the design of the object on the Dreambox and upload the design to the server. The printed matter will line up in the standby queue of the vending machine and will be able to receive mail when completed.
You can see how you actually perform 3D printing using Dreambox from the following movie.

In the middle of the warehouse is a shelf written Dreambox on the side.
It is a shelf that seems to be at home at first sight, but there is a 3D printer inside, it seems to operate on the liquid crystal screen when using. Objects to be printed out can be selected from 1000 models.
It is also possible to upload and print objects you designed.
You can make an object sticking to details.
It looks like this is actually creating an object.
Corocoro ... ... and the object completed through the half cylinder drops.
Mail will be sent when completed.
Since vending machines are unlocked for 15 minutes after e-mails are sent, specifications going to pick up objects during that time. If you miss an object in 15 minutes, if you tap the link in the email, it seems to be unlocked again for 5 minutes after tapping it.
Open the shelf drawer ......
I got an object.
Richard, who developed Dreambox, David, and Will. Dreambox is actually located on the 3rd floor of the Ecobel Hall of the University of California, Berkeley. The maximum size of the object that can be created is 14 cm × 20 cm × 14 cm, the material is ABS resin, PLA (Polylactic acid, Bio-based polymers derived from plants with maize as the main raw material), nylon, wood, and metal. The cost is $ 0.35 (about 35 yen) to make the shape, and 1.75 dollars (about 175 yen) when the inside of the object is completely filled with the material. When support is needed, since 2 extra dollars are added, it is possible to produce objects by outputting about 3 dollars (about 300 yen).
