Seagate announces 2 TB HDD with reduced power consumption by up to 54%

Previously at GIGAZINETo release 2 TB HDD with Western Digital becoming the world's largest capacityAlthough Seagate also announced 2 TB HDD.

Besides cutting power consumption by up to 54%, it is a highly durable model.

According to this release, Seagate seems to release the 2 TB 3.5-inch model HDD "Constellation ES" which is the world's largest capacity.

"Constellation ES" has a function "PowerChoice" that reduces power consumption by up to 54%MTBF (Mean Time Between Errors)It is 1.2 million hours.

Serial ATA or SAS is adopted as connection interface. Also, it has data encryption function.
