Unboxing the Google Pixel 11 Pro smartphone, and trying out the rainbow-colored notification light, 'HiLight.'
Google's Pixel 11 series smartphones were released on August 20, 2026. I ordered a Pixel 11 Pro as soon as pre-orders opened, and it arrived on the release day, so I took a closer look at its appearance.

The camera bar protrudes by approximately 4mm.
The rear camera system consists of three lenses: a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. The white circular area on the far right is a notification light called 'HiLight.'
HiLight lights up in colorful patterns during hands-free conversations with Gemini and when you receive a call from a favorited contact. We've recorded a video showing how it lights up when you actually talk to Gemini.
On the left side when viewed from the back, you'll find the power button and volume control buttons.
There are no buttons on the opposite side.
The bottom features a microphone, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker.
There is a SIM card slot on the top.
One SIM card can be inserted.
The Pixel 11 Pro measures 152.7mm (height) x 71.9mm (width) x 8.4mm (thickness). Here's how it looks next to an iPhone 17 Pro.
