◆1: Pixel 9
The packages for 'Pixel 9', 'Pixel 9 Pro', and 'Pixel 9 Pro XL' look like this.

First, open the package of the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 comes in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Wintergreen, and Peony. I bought the Peony color this time.

The box is covered in red cardboard, and the box and cardboard are secured together with two strips of tape on the back.

Peel off the tape.

Slide the box out from the red cardboard.

The box had a simplified illustration of the Pixel 9 on it.

When you open the box, you'll find the Pixel 9. On the back of the lid, there's a small box with documents inside.

The USB cable was hidden under the Pixel 9 body.

Here's what you get when you take everything out of the box: From the left, there's the Pixel 9, a USB cable, a safety and warranty guide, and a pin to open the SIM card slot.

The Pixel 9 has a 6.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2424 pixels and a fingerprint sensor built into the screen.

The front camera is a pinhole type with a resolution of 10.5 megapixels.

The back has a glossy glass finish, and the camera bar has a metallic texture, and instead of the edge-to-edge camera bar on previous Pixel phones, the Pixel 9's camera bar is now an island that stands out from the back panel.

The rear camera consists of two cameras: a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The edges of the camera bar are squared.

The edges are square so if your finger hits it it hurts.

If you place it on its back, it will tilt slightly, which is a nice feature as the screen doesn't shake.

In addition, when you place the phone on its back, the edge of the camera bar touches the ground, so the lens can be protected to some extent. However, as mentioned above, the edge can hurt your fingers, so we strongly recommend using a case (sold separately).

The frame is made of matte metal, and the power button and volume control buttons are located on the left side when viewed from the back.

There is nothing on the other side.

The bottom is equipped with a SIM card slot, a microphone, a USB port, and a speaker.

There is a microphone on the top.

The Pixel 9 (left) has dimensions of 152.8mm height x 72mm width x 8.5mm thickness, which is 2.3mm taller and 1.2mm wider than the Pixel 8 (right).

The actual weight of the Pixel 9 was 199g.

◆2: Pixel 9 Pro
The Pixel 9 Pro comes in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose Quartz. This time, I borrowed the Porcelain version.

Inside the package were the Pixel 9 Pro itself, a USB cable, a safety and warranty guide, and a pin to open the SIM card slot.

The Pixel 9 Pro has the same 6.3-inch screen size as the Pixel 9. The resolution is 1280 x 2856 pixels, allowing for more detailed images than the Pixel 9. It also has an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The front camera is 42 megapixels.

The back is made of matte glass, and the camera bar is raised like an island, just like the Pixel 9.

The rear camera is equipped with three cameras: a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera.

The edges of the camera bar are cut at right angles, just like the Pixel 9, but perhaps due to the difference in material, I didn't feel much pain when I put my finger on it. Still, it was quite uncomfortable, so I recommend using a case.

The inclination when placed with the back facing down is like this.

The frame is made of polished matte metal, which gives it a very reflective texture. The button layout is the same as the Pixel 9, with the power button and volume control buttons on the left side.

There is nothing on the right side.

The bottom is equipped with a SIM card slot, a microphone, a USB port, and a speaker.

There is a microphone on the top. The separated part on the left is the mmWave antenna cover.

The actual weight was 200g.

◆3: Pixel 9 Pro XL
The Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in the same four colors as the Pixel 9 Pro: Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose Quartz. This time I bought the Porcelain version.

Inside the box were the Pixel 9 Pro XL, a USB cable, a safety and warranty guide, and a pin to open the SIM card slot.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1344 x 2992 pixels. Of course, it also has a built-in fingerprint sensor.

The front camera has the same pixel count as the Pixel 9 Pro, at 42 megapixels.

The finish on the back is also the same as the Pixel 9 Pro.

The rear camera is also the same as the Pixel 9 Pro, with a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera.

The inclination when the back is down is like this.

On the left side are the power button and volume control button.

There's nothing on the other side.

On the bottom are the SIM card slot, microphone, USB port, and speaker.

The top surface is equipped with a mmWave antenna cover and a microphone.

The actual weight is 220g.

From the left, the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 8 Pro are lined up like this.

◆4: Genuine Google case
Google also offers genuine cases that fit perfectly with the Pixel 9 series. This time, I was able to borrow a case that can be attached to the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, so I will actually try it out.

The case looks like this.

I tried it on my Pixel 9 Pro. The edges of the case are raised higher than the screen, which minimizes contact with the ground when you place the screen face down.

The back looks like this.

Only the camera bar is raised, and the case is placed on the outside of the camera bar. This not only protects the camera bar from scratches, but also prevents your fingers from hurting when they touch the camera bar.

With the case on, the inclination when placed on its back is significantly smaller.

◆5: A thick poster was included as a pre-order bonus
When I pre-ordered the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, I received a poster as a pre-order bonus for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The poster was stored folded.

When you unfold the poster, it looks like this. It seems that the early product sketches of the Pixel 9 Pro series are reproduced on the poster. On

the official Google page , it says, 'If you frame it, it will give a formal and sophisticated impression, and if you stick it on your wall, it will give a cleaner impression and blend in with your living space.'
