Google released Android smartphones “ Pixel 7 ” and “ Pixel 7 Pro ” on October 13, 2022. I actually purchased two genuine Google smartphones, so I immediately checked the exterior.

◆ 1: Pixel 7 opening & appearance check
Pixel 7 has three colors, 'Lemongrass', 'Snow' and 'Obsidian', but this time I purchased Obsidian (left) and Lemongrass (right).
When you take the lid, Pixel 7 appears.
Inside the box was a Pixel 7 and USB Type-C cable, a USB Type-C and USB Type-A conversion connector, and an instruction document.
A white sheet is pasted on the display of Pixel 7, and the position of each button and SIM card slot is printed on the sheet.
The sheet was lightly attached and could be easily removed by hand.
The display of Pixel 7 looks like this. It measures 6.3 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
A camera capable of shooting at 10.8 megapixels is embedded at the top of the display.
The back looks like this. Like the Pixel 6 series, a camera bar with a large protrusion around the camera is adopted.
Fingerprints were not noticeable even if I touched it with my finger.
Inside the camera bar is a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The right side has a power button and a volume control button.
A SIM card slot is mounted on the left side.
There are no buttons or connectors on the top.
The bottom has a speaker and a USB Type-C port.
The dimensions of Pixel 7 are 155.6mm x 73.2mm x 8.7mm. For people with small hands, it is difficult to operate with one hand.
The edges of the camera bar aren't rounded, and it feels like it's getting stuck in your fingers.
The actual weight was 196 g.

◆ 2: Unpacking and appearance check of Pixel 7 Pro
Pixel 7 Pro has three colors, 'Hazel', 'Snow' and 'Obsidian'. This time, I bought Hazel and Obsidian.
Pixel 7 Pro appears when the lid is removed.
I took out all the contents of the box. From left to right: Pixel 7 Pro, USB Type-C cable, USB Type-C and USB Type-A conversion connector, and instructions.
The appearance of the display looks like this. It measures 6.7 inches and has a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels.
A 10.8-megapixel front camera is embedded in the display.

The camera bar has a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera.
The left side has a power button and a volume control button.
The SIM card slot is located on the right side.
There are no buttons or connectors on the top.
The bottom has a speaker and a USB Type-C port.
The dimensions of Pixel 7 Pro are 162.9mm x 76.6mm x 8.9mm. It's bigger than the Pixel 7, but it's curved at both ends, so the feeling when you hold it in your hand is not much different from the Pixel 7.
The actual weight was 211 g.

When Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are arranged side by side, it looks like this. You can see that Pixel 7 Pro is one size larger.
Comparing the width, it looks like this.

◆ 4: I tried attaching a genuine case & clear case
I also purchased a genuine case for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro and a clear case '
Since the genuine case has the same color as the main body, I purchased Obsidian this time.
The genuine case looks like this, with the Google logo in the center.
When I touched it with my finger, it felt smooth.
When the genuine case is attached to Pixel 7, it looks like this.
The case has a raised area around the camera bar so that when the back is placed face down, the camera bar floats off the ground.
A different material was attached to the power button and the volume control button, making it easier to press the button even through the case.
There is a gap around the USB Type-C port, and it seems that even a cable with a large connector part can be used without problems.
The package of the clear case 'Case-Mate Tough Clear Case for Pixel 7' and 'Case-Mate Tough Clear Case for Pixel 7 Pro' looks like this.
The back of the case has the 'CASE-MATE' logo.
When attached to Lemongrass of Pixel 7, it looks like this.
And when attached to Pixel 7's Obsidian, it looks like this. Depending on the color of Pixel 7, the logo 'CASE-MATE' stands out considerably.
The area around the camera bar is raised to protect the area around the camera from scratches.
The button part is also the same material.
There was quite a lot of space around the USB Type-C port.
