The synopsis of this work is as follows:

Trao, a 'merchant' belonging to the S-rank adventurer party 'Blue Ring,' is fired when it is discovered that he has been providing financial support to a younger female adventurer party called 'Garnet,' while forcing his own party members to be frugal.
As Trao leaves, he warns that it's too early to try and defeat the Demon Lord, but the members of Blue Ring ignore him and participate in a Demon Lord subjugation operation led by a higher-ranking party, only to be wiped out.
Trao joins Garnet and aims to defeat the Demon King, but...

Announcing an anime adaptation at the same time as the manga serialization is quite unusual. In fact, the manga adaptation itself was decided from the time the novel was released, but we had difficulty finding a manga artist, so the anime started moving forward first, which is a rather unusual situation.
However, Higashiyama has been chosen to draw the manga adaptation, so this story will be starting anew. Higashiyama is an artist who draws unique and distinctive manga, so I'm looking forward to seeing how she will depict Trao and his companions' journey.
Even so, I never imagined this story would be made into an anime, and when my editor first contacted me saying, 'We've been approached about an anime adaptation,' I didn't take it seriously at all, thinking, 'Oh, so this is that project that was supposed to be cancelled.'
Things progressed so quickly that I think I was the most surprised when it was actually decided that it would be made into an anime. That being said, this novel is a self-contained story that ends nicely in one volume, and I secretly believe it makes for a pretty good story to be made into a one-season anime.
I've written many novels myself, but this one's ending is my absolute favorite. It's a bit cliché, though. So, I'd be really grateful if you could stick with the manga and anime until the very end.
The main character is a bit... questionable, but if you watch until the end, you should understand everything... I think.
Incidentally, the title when it was published online was, 'A merchant who was kicked out of a party for being 'a burden' saves the world with the power of money. But it's too late now, even if he's told, 'I always thought of you as a friend.'' If you keep that in mind and finish reading it, you might experience a different kind of emotion.
