According to Netflix, generative AI was used in approximately 300 productions in 2026 alone. Generative AI was used throughout the entire production lifecycle, from the planning stage to post-production and delivery, with the majority of its use occurring in the post-production stage.
Netflix stated, 'We are now able to deliver higher quality results in a shorter timeframe and at a lower cost than with traditional methods. In some cases, without our generative AI technology, we wouldn't have been able to incorporate important cuts and sequences into our productions.'
Works that utilize AI include ' Glory ,' ' Brasi 70: A Saga do Tri ,' and ' The American Experiment .' In 'The American Experiment,' it is said that generative AI was used for crowds, battle scenes, and introductory cuts that build the world's atmosphere.

Netflix also announced that it has expanded its use of AI-powered tools in its advertising division for planning, distribution, and report generation. Netflix stated, 'By further automating the workflow related to dealings with advertisers, we have reduced the manual work that was previously a barrier for smaller advertisers, making Netflix accessible to a wider range of advertisers.'
Netflix has acquired AI startup InterPositive and is also using AI-generated voices of Gene Wilder in its reality show 'Wonka's The Golden Ticket,' solidifying its policy of broadly adopting AI.

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos shared the view that they have no intention of using AI to replace creative professionals, stating, 'We believe that great works require great artists. AI is not going to change that.'
