The contents of Aluminium OS were revealed by the leak group ' Mystic Leaks ' on their Telegram channel, and a 16-minute and 16-second video of the actual device has also been posted on Mystic Leaks' YouTube channel.
The following is the Aluminium OS desktop that was included in the leaked video. The way the app icons are lined up on the taskbar gives it a desktop OS-like design, but the shortcuts on the desktop background look like smartphone apps, and the information such as battery level and time at the top also looks like a smartphone or tablet.

When I open the device information in the Settings app, it says 'Android 17'.

Clicking the icon to the left of the battery level in the upper right corner seems to launch a browser and allow you to use Gemini.

This is what Explorer looks like.

Furthermore, when waking from sleep mode, it also resembles the appearance of a smartphone or tablet.

Mystic Leaks summarizes Aluminium OS as follows: 'Basically, it's a regular Android, but it has a desktop feel to it in terms of features like desktop folders, virtual desktops, optimized quick settings and notification panel, touchpad and keyboard gestures and shortcuts, and PC-optimized apps like the task manager. Rather than a full-fledged desktop OS, it gives the impression of being a slightly enhanced version of ' Samsung DeX ,' which allows you to connect a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to a Galaxy smartphone. Its biggest weakness is the almost complete lack of apps optimized for mouse and keyboard operation. Furthermore, the hardware it runs on is limited.'
At The Android Show: I/O Edition on May 12, 2026, Google announced the 'Googlebook,' a notebook PC designed with Gemini Intelligence in mind. While it's possible the Googlebook will run on Aluminium OS, this is uncertain at the time of writing.
