The results are as follows.
The most common type of insurance was medical insurance at 14.79%. This was followed by automobile insurance at 12.99%, whole life insurance at 12.15%, and fire insurance at 12.11%. Insurance related to cars and homes, in addition to coverage for illness and injury, also accounted for a significant portion of the total.
Following that, cancer insurance accounted for 9.07%, 'nothing in particular' for 8.19%, earthquake insurance for 6.77%, personal annuity insurance for 5.35%, and bicycle insurance for 4.40%. This shows that insurance products that are directly related to daily life tend to be at the top of the list, while a certain number of people also chose 'nothing in particular.'
Looking further down the list, term life insurance accounted for 3.36%, education/children's insurance for 2.70%, accident insurance for 2.48%, income protection insurance for 1.30%, endowment insurance for 1.26%, pet insurance for 1.17%, disability insurance for 0.71%, travel insurance for 0.65%, other insurance for 0.36%, and golfer's insurance for 0.22%.
A large percentage of people have insurance to protect the foundation of their lives, and, as you might expect, the percentage tends to be lower for insurance with limited use cases.
Similar to insurance, we also asked the question, 'Which of the following are you most interested in: stocks, securities, or cryptocurrencies?' The results are as follows.
The most common answer was 'stocks' at 41.0%. With over 40% choosing this option, it seems that interest in stocks is significantly higher among GIGAZINE readers. On the other hand, 26.0% answered 'nothing in particular,' indicating that not everyone has a strong interest in investment-related matters.
