According to reports, the Nintendo Switch 2, with its replaceable battery, will allow users to safely remove and replace the lithium-ion battery in the console and the batteries in the Joy-Con 2 controllers. This will allow users to replace the battery with a new one without having to pay for expensive repairs on a Nintendo Switch 2 with a degraded battery.

According to a report in the Nikkei Shimbun, the Nintendo Switch 2 with a replaceable battery will apparently only be sold within the EU. If consumer awareness regarding the right to repair increases, similar models may be sold in Japan and the United States as well.
