Sony has reportedly abandoned plans to port PS5 games like 'Ghost of Yotei' to PC, and will now only be selling them on its own hardware.

According to Bloomberg, citing sources, Sony has abandoned plans to port single-player titles released for the PS5 to PC, putting an end to its six-year multi-platform strategy.
However, multiplayer titles like ' Marathon ' and ' MARVEL Tokon ' will continue to be available on multiple platforms, and there will be no changes to games that have already been announced for PC, such as 'DEATH STRANDING 2.'

A source familiar with Sony's internal affairs said, 'There are concerns within the company that releasing games for PC could damage the console's brand image and negatively impact sales of the PlayStation 5 and its successor.'
For many years, Sony had been handling some games as in-house exclusives, but starting in 2020, it changed its policy and began releasing games such as ' Ghost of Tsushima ' and ' Horizon Zero Dawn ' for PC as well. However, it maintained the value of its own brand by releasing the PC version several months after first releasing it on PlayStation hardware.
