The MacBook Neo is equipped with the A18 Pro processor, which was developed for the iPhone 16 Pro . The CPU core configuration is the same as that of the iPhone 16 Pro, but the number of GPU cores has been reduced. Also, while the minimum configuration of the M5-equipped MacBook Air (priced at ¥184,800 including tax) comes with 16GB of unified memory, the MacBook Neo comes with 8GB of unified memory.
Apple boasts, 'The MacBook Neo with A18 Pro runs everyday tasks up to 50 percent faster than the best-selling Windows laptop with the latest Intel Core Ultra 5 processor. For more demanding tasks, on-device AI workloads are up to three times faster, and tasks like photo editing are up to two times faster.' The MacBook Neo's fanless design means it remains completely silent even while in operation. It's unclear how the processor will dissipate heat.

According to Apple, the battery life is up to 11 hours for wireless internet use and up to 16 hours for video streaming on a single charge. It has a built-in 36.5Wh lithium-ion battery and comes with a 20W USB-C power adapter.
There are two USB-C ports, one compliant with USB 3 and the other with USB 2. However, looking at the product photos, it's hard to tell which one is USB 3.
The keyboard is a Magic Keyboard, but please note that the 256GB model does not have Touch ID.
The body comes in four colors: silver, blush, citrus, and indigo.

Reservations for the MacBook Neo began on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with sales beginning on Wednesday, March 11. The 256GB model is priced at ¥99,800 (tax included), while the 512GB model is priced at ¥114,800 (tax included). For students and faculty, the 256GB model is priced at ¥84,800 (tax included), while the 512GB model is priced at ¥99,800 (tax included).
