Introducing the iPad Air with M4, 12GB of memory and Wi-Fi 7 support, priced from 98,800 yen



Apple has announced a new iPad Air with the M4 chip. The 11-inch model will be priced at ¥98,800 (tax included), while the 13-inch model will start at ¥128,800 (tax included). Pre-orders will begin on Wednesday, March 4th, with sales starting on Wednesday, March 11th.

The iPad Air with M4 is said to be up to 30% faster than the previous-generation iPad Air with M3 and up to 2.3 times faster than the iPad Air with M1. The M4 chip in the iPad Air has a CPU configuration of three high-efficiency cores and five high-performance cores, a change from the previous-generation M3 chip. It also has 12GB of unified system memory, 50% larger than the previous generation, and memory bandwidth of 120GB/s, which is higher than the previous generation.



In addition, the iPad Air with M4 is equipped with the N1 and C1X wireless network communication chips used in the iPhone 17 series, enabling faster wireless and mobile communications and also supporting Wi-Fi 7.

The phone comes in four colors: blue, purple, starlight, and space gray.
