Snowflake is a company that provides data analysis and management services for businesses. Snowflake also offers a tool called Snowflake Cortex , which enables the use of AI within its own services. Through this partnership, OpenAI models will be able to run natively within Snowflake Cortex. Additionally, OpenAI models such as GPT-5.2 will be able to run on Snowflake Intelligence , an AI agent with data analysis capabilities.

Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake, emphasized the benefits of being able to use OpenAI models within their services, saying, 'By making OpenAI models available for enterprise data, organizations can build and deploy AI on their most valuable assets using the secure, managed platform they already use. We can leverage all of the enterprise knowledge within Snowflake, combined with the global intelligence of OpenAI models, to build powerful, responsible, and trustworthy AI agents.'

Ashley Kramer, head of OpenAI's enterprise division, also said, 'Our partnership with Snowflake allows us to handle OpenAI models in a very secure way,' highlighting the significance of being able to use OpenAI models without taking data outside of Snowflake.

Snowflake has signed up for ChatGPT's enterprise plan and is using OpenAI's AI in its daily operations.
