What does 'Pizza Hut Margherita Yakisoba', which recreates Pizza Hut's Margherita in cup yakisoba, taste like?

Pizza Hut's most popular menu item, Pizza Hut Margherita, has been recreated as yakisoba, with the release of the ' Myojo Pizza Hut Supervised Pizza Hut Margherita Yakisoba ' on January 26, 2026. The Margherita-flavored yakisoba is made with tomato paste, basil sauce, and powdered cheese. I was curious to see what it would taste like, so I bought one and tried it.

I found Pizza Hut Margherita Yakisoba at a convenience store.

I bought it. The package says, 'Is this pizza or yakisoba?'

If you look closely, you can see the words 'Yakisoba' written in small letters.

Check the ingredients. The sauce contains tomato paste, roasted onion paste, basil paste, tomato powder, and cheese flavor powder. The toppings include cheese, tomato flavor flakes, and parsley.

Each serving contains 718 kcal and 6.5 g of salt.

When you peel off the outer film, it looks like this. The area surrounded by a red frame has a Pizza Hut 200 yen discount coupon code written on it.

The container contained liquid sauce, bale sauce, and other toppings.

Pour boiling water over the sauce and let it warm on the lid for 5 minutes. You will need about 770ml of boiling water.

After 5 minutes, discard the water.

Add the liquid sauce.

Mix well. At this point, you should start to smell the aroma of tomatoes and cheese, reminiscent of pizza.

Squeeze out the basil sauce as well.

The basil sauce was in a paste form.

Finally, sprinkle on the remaining toppings and it's done.

The finished Pizza Hut Margherita Yakisoba looks like this.

When I tried it, the noodles were very chewy and had a texture more like fresh pasta than yakisoba. I could enjoy the flavors of tomato, basil, and cheese all at the same time, so I nodded in agreement, saying, 'It definitely tastes like Margherita.' The catchphrase was, 'Is this pizza or yakisoba?', but the noodles were closer to pasta than yakisoba, so I felt it was a 'Margherita-flavored pasta.'

The suggested retail price for Pizza Hut Margherita Yakisoba is 328 yen (excluding tax) and will be available nationwide from January 26, 2026. Amazon.co.jp sells a 12-meal set for 4,082 yen (including tax) (approximately 340 yen per meal).
