'Radio Garden' lets you listen to radio from around the world by moving the globe

Radio Garden is an app that lets you listen to over 40,000 radio stations from around the world. Each radio station is placed on a globe, and you can listen to radio stations in various languages from around the world just by moving the globe. I saw a post

recommending it as a way to unwind , so I decided to give it a try.

Radio Garden is available as a web app, iOS app, and Android app. The web app version of Radio Garden can be used on both PCs and smartphones, so this time I will try using the web app version on my iPhone.

First, go to Radio Garden and tap the play button.

The app will then play a radio station near your current location in real time, based on Wi-Fi information and other factors. In Japan, it picks up an internet radio station instead of an AM or FM station. When I tried it in Osaka, a radio station that was said to be from Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, started playing. However, after checking the radio station information, I found that it was

a mysterious internet radio station claiming to be from Koka City, Shiga Prefecture , and no Japanese audio was playing. As you can see, Radio Garden's information is sometimes unreliable, so be careful.

Radio Garden is an app developed by Dutch developers, so it has a large lineup of radio stations from around Europe.

What's interesting is that the atmosphere of radio varies from region to region, with Indian radio stations playing 'Indian-style music' that you'd hear in a curry restaurant.

Zooming in on the globe will give you a general idea of the area a radio station is in, such as whether it's urban or rural. To learn more about a radio station, tap the station name at the bottom of the screen.

Tap 'View Website.'

Tap 'Yes'.

Now you can check the official website.

Tap 'Browse' at the bottom of the screen to see playlists organized by theme.

Let's take a look at the details of the playlist 'Rare Languages of the World.'

A list of radio stations where you can listen to Amazonian languages and Kenyan

Kalenjin languages was displayed.
