Gmail's search results now use AI to display the most relevant results

Some people may have had the experience of finding the email they were looking for buried in their Gmail inbox and having a hard time finding it even after searching. Google has announced that it will introduce a smart search feature to Gmail that uses AI to find emails that are highly relevant, which may help reduce such situations.

The smart search feature doesn't simply 'search for emails that contain the search phrase in order of proximity,' but also takes into account information such as 'which emails have been clicked on the most' and 'who you frequently contact,' so the email you're looking for is more likely to appear at the top of the search results.

Smart Search sorts emails by 'Most relevant,' so it's easier to find important emails even if they're a little old. You can still sort by 'Most Relevant' from the drop-down menu.

Smart Search has started to be rolled out to users with personal Google accounts on the web and mobile apps, and will be expanded to business users in the future. However, when I checked in my environment, it was not yet available.
