I tried using ELECOM's trackball mouse 'M-IT11DRBK', which allows you to hold the mouse in a comfortable position and has a bearing that allows the ball to roll smoothly.
ELECOM has been selling the wireless trackball mouse ' M-IT11DRBK ' since March 2024. The ergonomic design allows you to operate it in a comfortable position, and the ball is supported by bearings, giving you the feeling of floating in the air. I had the opportunity to try out the M-IT11DRBK, so I checked out its appearance and usability.

The outer box of the M-IT11DRBK looks like this. There are two main body colors, 'black' and 'white', and the one I'm reviewing this time is black.
Inside the box were the M-IT11DRBK unit and a removal tool.

The bottom contains the battery cover, a hole for removing the trackball, and a USB receiver for connecting to a PC.
This is what it looks like when you open the battery cover. The M-IT11DRBK runs on one AA battery, but it comes with one included, so you don't need to buy one separately.
You can remove the trackball by pressing it with a pen or something similar through the hole on the bottom.

To connect the M-IT11DRBK to your PC, insert the included USB receiver into a USB port on your PC.
Turn on the power switch on the top and the connection is complete.
This is what the M-IT11DRBK looks like when you hold it. Unlike a typical mouse, the M-IT11DRBK is a trackball mouse, and you control the cursor by moving the ball. Therefore, your thumb naturally touches the ball.
Below is a video of the M-IT11DRBK clicking and rolling ball sounds. Each click makes a relatively loud 'click' sound, so caution is required in quiet places such as cafes and libraries. However, unlike a typical mouse, there is no need to move the mouse itself to operate the cursor, so there is no sound of the mouse hitting the desk when moved.
