Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger visits xAI data center, touts Xeon processor deployment and pays tribute to xAI



On November 27, 2024 local time, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger visited and toured the data center of Elon Musk's AI company

xAI . Gelsinger, who visited the data center, said, 'I applaud Mr. Musk and his entire team for their continued growth.'

'We were able to see Intel's workstation processors, Xeon , being installed in the GPU cluster,' said Gelsinger, who visited xAI's data center in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. 'We applaud Musk and the entire team for continuing to raise the bar.'

Musk responded, 'Thank you, Pat. The data center is a great job by the xAI team.'




xAI has reportedly set up 100,000 NVIDIA H200 data center GPUs in just 19 days, and uses Intel's Xeon as the CPU to control these GPUs.

The purpose of Gelsinger's visit to the xAI data center has not been disclosed.
