Hiring Assistant is a tool created for LinkedIn's recruiting solution, LinkedIn Recruiter , and is said to assist recruiters in the recruiting process.

LinkedIn said that Hiring Assistant can be used primarily to manage 'interview schedules, meeting notes, and follow-ups,' and explained, 'From recruiting to interviewing, Hiring Assistant helps you focus on people-centered work. Based on your recruiting goals, your Assistant will automatically connect with qualified candidates, screen the best applicants, draft outreach messages, and answer basic questions about the role.'

LinkedIn says Hiring Assistant is its first AI agent. The AI assistant is currently running with a 'select' group of clients, including AMD and Zurich Insurance, and will be rolled out more broadly in the coming months. Pricing and other details are not yet available.

LinkedIn has been an early adopter of AI for some time, and in recent years has rolled out many tools for learning, marketing, job hunting help, etc. However, it has also come under criticism after it was revealed that the company was using user data to train its AI without consent.

According to Hari Srinivasan, vice president of product at LinkedIn, Hiring Assistant is trained on LinkedIn's 1 billion users and 68 million companies' data while also integrating with third-party application tracking systems. 'Hiring Assistant is designed to take on the 'repetitive work' of recruiters so they can spend more time on the tasks they care about most,' Srinivasan said.
