According to foreign media Android Authority, affected users have received emails explaining the price increase, which is explained as 'to continue to provide great service and features' and 'to support YouTube creators and artists.'
In addition, if you subscribe to YouTube Premium via the iOS app, a 30% store fee will also be added, bringing the total price increase in Sweden to as much as 60%.
'The price increase makes YouTube Premium by far the most expensive streaming service out there - more than the monthly subscriptions for Amazon Prime, Netflix and HBO combined,' one Danish user wrote.

Japan is not included in the countries affected by this price increase, and the individual plan will continue to be available for 1,280 yen per month, and the family plan for 2,280 yen per month.
