Spotify has two versions, a free version with ads and a paid version (premium) that allows you to download music without ads.As of March 31, 2023, the number of paid version members is 210 million (a 15% increase from the previous year), and the number of monthly active users is 515 million.

There are four premium plans: a standard plan for one person, a duo plan that can be used with two accounts, a family plan that can be used with up to six accounts, and a cheap student plan for students. The range of price increases is 2 dollars (about 280 yen) for the standard plan and the duo plan, and 1 dollar (about 140 yen) for the family plan and the student plan.

This price increase applies to Spotify users in the affected countries and territories, and premium subscribers will be notified by email of the price increase and will be subject to the new price unless they cancel before the grace period ends. For users who are using the free trial, the price before the price increase will be applied for one month after the trial ends, but it seems that the new price will be effective after that.
