There are many different creators on YouTube, and they are active in a variety of genres, such as cooking videos, game distribution, makeup videos, etc. New creators are born every day all over the world on YouTube, and they post and distribute videos in the hopes of becoming famous, but even small creators with enthusiastic fan bases find it difficult to gain new viewers.

That's why they created Hype. Hype is a feature that connects newly created YouTube channels with new viewers, promoting videos (less than 7 days old) posted by creators with less than 500,000 subscribers.

First, click the 'Like' button on the video.

If this video was posted within the last 7 days by a creator with less than 500,000 subscribers, a 'Hype' button will appear below the like button. Click this Hype button.

Click 'Hype 2K points'. Your video is now promoted.

Once you promote your video, you will be able to see how many points your video has earned. Click on 'Leaderboard'.

You'll then be shown the top 100 videos that received the most Hype Points that week.

The more you advertise, the higher you will rank in the ranking of the top 100 promoted videos of the week, attracting the attention of many users. Users can advertise their videos up to three times a week, which is not possible at the time of writing, but in the future, they plan to allow users to purchase additional advertising, providing creators with a new source of income. However, being advertised with the Hype feature will not affect YouTube's recommendations or search results.

In addition, the Hype feature will add a special badge to popular videos, letting everyone know that they are fan favorites. Beta testing has already been conducted in Turkey, Taiwan, and Brazil, and in the first four weeks alone, users have promoted videos more than 5 million times on more than 50,000 YouTube channels. The age group that promotes the most videos in the beta version of Hype is the 18-24 year old, accounting for more than 30% of beta users.
