Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), which operates the PlayStation brand, has revised the suggested retail price of the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and peripherals, raising the price for the second time. The suggested retail price of the PS5, which was released on November 12, 2020, was initially 49,980 yen (54,978 yen including tax, $499.99 in the United States) for the regular model and 39,980 yen (43,978 yen including tax, $399.99 in the United States) for the digital edition.
