The AI-powered meeting summary feature can be enabled in the meeting host menu.

When the summary feature is enabled, Gemini, a Google AI, recognizes what the meeting participants say and creates a summary that includes the speaker's name. In the example below, a summary is generated based on the content of the conversation: 'Fatima and Mikhail have ordered Chromebooks but don't know their current status. Joe explains the next steps to complete the sales team's resources.' This summary is also displayed to people who join the meeting late, so they can immediately understand the content of the meeting.

A summary of the meeting will be output to a Google document after the meeting, and a URL for the document file will be sent to meeting participants.

The summary feature is being tested on a limited number of users, and at the time of writing, it only supports meetings in English.
