Amazon announces UI changes to Prime Video
Amazon has announced an update to its Prime Video app. The update will change the UI to make it easier to access various subscription services, and will also add a recommendation feature using generative AI.

◆ UI Changes
In the new UI, the top of the screen has a menu with access to 'Home,' 'Movies,' 'TV Shows,' 'Sports,' and 'Live TV,' and to the right of that is a 'prime' button that allows access to a screen that collects content for Amazon Prime members. In addition, to the right of the 'prime' button are buttons that allow one-click access to various subscription services such as Max and Crunchyroll.
◆New functions using generative AI
Prime Video has a feature that displays recommended content based on the user's viewing history, but it has now announced that it will use Amazon's generative AI service,
Additionally, we will be adding a feature that uses large-scale language models to summarize content so that users can easily see what they are interested in without having to scroll too much.
◆Improved Live TV features
Prime Video's Live TV allows you to watch programs that are distributed 24 hours a day. This Live TV feature has been updated so that recommended programs will automatically play when you open the Live TV screen.
Other changes include faster page transitions and updated animation effects.
