Under these circumstances, NVIDIA is selling an AI chip called ' H20 ' to the Chinese market to avoid export restrictions. NVIDIA was selling a chip called 'H800' to the Chinese market, but the chip was banned from export in October 2023. Therefore, NVIDIA is selling the 'H20', which has lower processing performance, to China to avoid export restrictions.

In addition, it has been reported that NVIDIA is developing a new AI chip called 'B20' for the Chinese market. The B20 is a GPU derived from the GPU ' B200 ' based on the GPU architecture 'Blackwell' announced by NVIDIA in March 2024, and some performance levels are said to be about twice as high as the H20.
According to the people, Nvidia will work with its main distributor partner Inspur in China to sell the B20, with shipments of the B20 expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
NVIDIA's revenue from China has been declining year by year, with revenue from the Chinese market accounting for 26% of total revenue in 2022, but only 17% in 2024. However, overseas media Hot Hardware speculates that 'NVIDIA may be able to make up for its lost Chinese market share with products available in China, such as the H20 chip and B20 chip.'
NVIDIA has not commented on this report.
