The synopsis of the work is as follows:

One day, the Earth is attacked by an army led by Prince Zardoz from the planet Boazan. With conventional weapons completely ineffective, Steve, Big Bert, Little John, the three Armstrong brothers, Mark Gordon, and Jamie Robinson board five secretly manufactured machines to fight the attack.
In order to ensure victory, the enemy forces have launched even more powerful beast-like robots called 'Beast Fighters.' To counter them, the five of them shout 'Let's Volt-in!' and combine their machines to become the giant humanoid robot 'Voltes V.'
Will the five members of Team Voltes be able to protect the Earth?

Dokugaga is one of the beast fighters sent by the Boazans. It has wings on its back and engages in aerial combat.

Another beast fighter is Byzanga. In addition to fighting by swinging a chain hammer, he can also launch a variety of attacks, including missiles from his head.

'Voltes V Legacy' is a live-action adaptation of the TV anime 'Voltes V,' which aired from 1977 to 1978, produced in the Philippines, where the show is extremely popular. The 40-episode anime has been expanded to 90 episodes plus one movie, more than double the original length, by carefully depicting the human drama. It aired on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 p.m. for 30 minutes, achieving the highest viewer ratings in that time slot.

Moreover, it is not just a 'live-action adaptation that borrows the name of the original work,' but is full of love for the original anime. The opening theme is a cover of 'Voltes V's Song' by Julie Ann San Jose with the Japanese lyrics. Initially, there were plans to use Tagalog lyrics, but it was decided that 'the lyrics must be in Japanese after all.'
