Elon Musk to donate $45 million per month to former President Trump's supporters



Following the shooting of former President Donald Trump , businessman Elon Musk, who for the first time made clear his full support for Trump, has announced that he plans to donate $45 million (approximately 7.14 billion yen) per month to a super PAC (special political action committee) supporting Trump's election campaign.

The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that Musk plans to donate about $45 million per month to America PAC, a super PAC that is supporting Trump's election campaign.

As for political donations in the 2024 presidential election, Timothy Mellon, a major donor from the Mellon conglomerate, is known to have donated $50 million (about 8 billion yen) to Trump's super PAC.

Musk and Trump have been on relatively good terms over the past four years, and when Musk acquired Twitter in 2022, he reinstated Trump's permanently suspended account , but Musk has not made his position clear on whether he supports Trump.

In March 2024, he also disclosed that he had not donated money to any presidential candidates.



However, after an assassination attempt on Trump occurred on July 13, 2024, Musk offered his 'full support' and prayed for Trump's recovery.



He also praised Trump, saying, 'The last time America had a candidate as tough as Theodore Roosevelt .'
