A cup noodle 'Nissin Ice Shooting King Yuzu Chicken Salt' taste review that is chilled with ice
On Monday, July 8, 2024, Nissin Foods will release ' Nissin Ice Gekiraoh Yuzu Chicken Salt ,' which is eaten chilled with ice. The chilled dashi with the aroma of yuzu and the flavor of chicken is said to be a perfect match with the noodles, so I tried eating this product provided by Nissin Foods ahead of time to see what it tastes like.
'Nissin Ice Shooting King Yuzu Chicken Salt' (released on July 8th) | Nissin Foods Group
This is 'Nissin Ice King Yuzu Chicken Salt'.
The ingredients include chicken seasoning, yuzu juice, fish meal, etc. The toppings are seasoned pork and green onions.
Calories are 311kcal per serving.
There were cooking instructions written on the side of the container, so I followed them to actually make it.
First, remove half of the lid and remove the liquid soup and vegetables.
Add the toppings first.
Add hot water and wait 6 minutes.
After 6 minutes, discard the water.
Once you have poured out all the hot water, immediately pour in cold water to cool the noodles.
Then, discard the water. There was no information on how long to leave it in the water, so this time I discarded the water about 30 seconds after pouring it in.
Once all the water has been poured out, open the lid and add 150g of ice.
Next, add the liquid soup.
Finally, pour cold water up to the inside line.
Mix well and it's done.
The experience of 'eating cold instant noodles' was quite new, and I had no idea what it would taste like, but when I actually put it in my mouth, it was a very orthodox salt and yuzu ramen that was easy to eat. It had a light salty taste with the richness of chicken in every bite, and the yuzu was just a light scent that rounded out the flavor neatly. The noodles, soaked in water, were quite hard in places, and it was refreshing to feel the cold noodles passing down my throat when I swallowed them. It was a refreshing dish that seemed to take the summer heat away from inside my body.
The suggested retail price of 'Nissin Hyogeki Raoh Yuzu Chicken Salt' is 285 yen (excluding tax). It will be on sale from July 8, 2024.
On Amazon.co.jp, a pack of 12 is sold for 3,011 yen including tax (251 yen per meal).
