A review of the trial version of the multiplayer minesweeper 'Everyone's Minesweeper' where you can dig into a huge board with players from all over the world

Minesweeper is basically a single-player game, but some of them are

multiplayer . A trial version of the super-large-scale minesweeper ' Minesweeper for Everyone ' in which 1,000 people dig up 10 million mines has been released, so I tried playing it.

You can play the game by clicking the download button under 'Download the Minesweeper Demo' on the page above.

Here's what the game looks like.

Once you start the game, press 'Start' to begin the game.

The rules are the same as in normal minesweeper: right-click to place a flag where there are mines, and left-click to open up spaces where there are no mines.

Confirming a mine gives you 10 points, and opening a square gives you points equal to the number written on the square. The points can be used to unlock skins, but this wasn't implemented in the trial version.

If you accidentally open a mine square, you will have to wait a few seconds.

The place you clicked by mistake will be judged as already opened and the game will continue. Even if you fail, everyone's efforts will not be wasted, so don't worry.

Click on the map icon in the top left corner of the screen to open the map.

This is the map we saw today. The blue areas are the unreleased squares. The number of remaining mines, displayed in the upper left corner, is '7,093,074.' The map we had just seen was just the tip of the iceberg of the entire map, and we can see that there is still a huge amount of land that remains to be developed. You can change the place you play by clicking anywhere on the map on this screen and pressing 'Teleport.'

While playing, comments from other players came up, just like on Nico Nico Douga. When I translated them, they said things like 'I'm bored and don't want to play anymore.'

To send a comment, click the comment icon.

You can send your comment by entering your comment in the input box at the bottom and clicking 'Send Danmaku'. Please note that you will not be able to send comments until you have earned 5,000 points.

In addition, the trial version allowed players to check statistics such as the number of squares opened and the total number of flags acquired, as well as view rankings.

'Mine Sweeper for Everyone' is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2024.
