' Police Story ' (released in 1985) was directed, written, martial arts coach, starred in, and sang the theme song for Jackie Chan, and it set the tone for his subsequent films.
Directed by Sammo Hung Kam-Bo, Cyclone Z (released in 1988) was the last film in which Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao -- the 'golden trio' of Hong Kong action films -- appeared together in a full film, with Jackie Chan playing a rare role as a lawyer.
' Miracle ' (released in 1989) is a Jackie Chan remake of Frank Capra's 'Lady for a Day,' and was made to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Hong Kong film company Golden Harvest.
The film festival will be held from Friday, May 10, 2024 at Shinjuku Piccadilly and other venues.
