I opened the box and took out the main unit. Under the main body, I found a long and narrow box and a case the size of a commuter pass.
The long and narrow box contains a power cable and AC adapter.
The charging connector of Surface Laptop Studio 2 uses the Surface Connect connector that is common to the Surface series.
The other case contained four items: product specifications and instructions, PC recycling information, a guide, and a warranty card.
The appearance of Surface Laptop Studio 2 looks like this. Surface Laptop Studio 2 comes in only one color: 'Platinum'.
On the right side, there is a microSD card slot, headphone terminal, and Surface Connect port for charging.
On the left side, there are two USB Type-A terminals and two Thunderbolt 4 compatible USB-C.

The height from the bottom when closed is 2.2cm.
The weight of the main unit is 1890g for the model using IntelFootnote IrisFootnote Xe for the GPU, and 1980g for the model using NVIDIA. The model we are using this time is equipped with NVIDIA RTX4060, and the actual weight was 1981g.
The power cable weighs 438g including the plug and AC adapter. When combined with the main body, it weighs approximately 2.4 kg.
When you open the screen it looks like this. The display is a 14.4-inch touchscreen.
The keyboard is the same as the previous Surface series, and is an isolation keyboard with a key pitch of approximately 19mm.
The touchpad area is about 10.6cm, which gives it a spacious impression.
When you actually put your hand on it, it looks like the following.
At the top of the screen is a full HD front-facing wide-angle 1080p HD camera and a Windows Hello 2.0 facial recognition camera.
When you hold the Surface Laptop Studio 2 monitor as shown in the image below, you will feel it click off.
The bottom half of the monitor comes off the back and can be moved to different positions.
There is a position in front of the keyboard that snaps into place, so I was able to switch to studio mode.

Furthermore, by folding the monitor all the way towards you, you can transform it into tablet mode. However, since the main unit weighs approximately 2 kg, it feels heavy to hold and use like a tablet.
