The House Subcommittee on Border and Foreign Affairs held a hearing on July 26, 2023, titled 'Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications for National Security, Public Safety, and Government Transparency.'
The hearing was attended by former Navy aviators Ryan Graves and David Flavor as key witnesses, as well as veteran and former Pentagon Intelligence Officer David Grouch.
Mr. Flavor is one of the parties involved in the 'USS Nimitz UFO Incident' in which a squadron of the aircraft carrier 'Nimitz' encountered a UAP in November 2004 and was successfully photographed.

Mr. Grush is the person who revealed the information that the US government has secretly conducted a UAP / UFO recovery program.

'The American people have a right to learn about technologies of unknown origin, non-human intelligence and phenomena that cannot be explained,' Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz said in his opening address to the hearing. Above, he noted that stealth helicopter technology was kept secret until it was used to attack Osama bin Laden in 2011. During his tenure, Mr. Grusch was involved in a covert program of 'decades of UAP crash investigation and reverse engineering.' Because this program was hidden more than necessary, he said that when he informed the inspector general, he was retaliated because he was told that Mr. Grusch had leaked the information. Grusch testified that being denied access to the program prompted the whistleblowing.
In addition, Mr. Grusch responded to a question from Rep. Moskowitz, saying that ``unauthorized programs in advanced technology fields'' exist outside the scope of Congress' oversight. On the other hand, he said, ``I can not answer in a public and non-confidential place'' when asked about ``photos of crash sites of aircraft of unknown origin''.
In addition, Mr. Graves testified that UAP sighting reports have been remarkably suppressed, and in fact not only military pilots but also civilian pilots have often witnessed UAPs.
When asked, 'Are UAPs a potential threat to the national security of the United States?' Mr. Flavor unequivocally replied, 'Yes. The technology we faced was vastly superior to anything we had.' I answered. He criticized the fact that the government and the military do not have a database for centralized management of UAPs, calling it a 'farce.'
All three testified that the UAP is interested in U.S. 'nuclear' capabilities and may be testing air defense systems for vulnerabilities and conducting airspace reconnaissance.
