I have eaten a parfait with Ieyasu's gold pika legs as a motif and Oden with plenty of Hatcho miso sauce at a restaurant 'Ichikawa' near Okazaki Castle

Near Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, there is a restaurant ' Ichikawa ' where you can enjoy dishes using Haccho miso and parfaits with the motif of Mikawa samurai. After

failing the Iga-crossing challenge , I came to the vicinity of Okazaki Castle, so I visited Ichikawa for two consecutive days and ate parfait and Haccho miso dishes associated with Ieyasu.

Ichikawa is located near Okazaki Castle in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. If you go by public transportation, we recommend taking the train to Higashi-Okazaki Station or taking the bus to Tonobashi.

Arrive at Ichikawa.

In the menu at the entrance, in addition to oden and military commander parfait using Haccho miso, matcha and zenzai were also listed.

The parfaits are named after warlords, such as the matcha-flavored “Tokugawa Ieyasu” and the “Honda Tadakatsu,” which uses brown sugar and Haccho miso.

Ichikawa's business hours are until 16:30, and when I visited at 16:00, 'Tokugawa Ieyasu' and 'Honda Tadakatsu' were sold out.

There was still a limited-time parfait `` Tokugawa Ieyasu SP Kindami Parfait '' that imaged ``Kindabi legs'' that Ieyasu was given by Imagawa Yoshimoto, so I ordered it.

This is 'Tokugawa Ieyasu SP Kindami Parfait'. The cream is topped with golden sauce and gold leaf, and is surrounded by kiwi, mango ice cream, and cookies.

The golden sauce had a refreshing sour kiwi flavor.

A sponge was hidden under the cream.

The kiwi is cut into large pieces, and the sweet and sour juice spreads throughout your mouth.

Mango ice cream has a very rich mango flavor. The mango flavor is also impressive, but the parfait has a refreshing taste because it contains a large amount of kiwi anyway.

I wanted to eat 'Ieyasu Tokugawa' which was sold out and I could not eat it, so I visited again the next day.

It doesn't seem to be sold out this time. I wanted to eat not only parfait but also Hatcho miso dishes, so I ordered 'Miso Oden'.

At the back of the guided seat, cardboard boxes marked 'Haccho Miso' were stacked.

After waiting for a while, 'Miso Oden' arrived before 'Ieyasu Tokugawa'.

Plenty of sweet miso sauce is sprinkled over plump konnyaku, and you can enjoy the taste of miso sauce to the fullest. The miso sauce is very salty, but since it was quite hot that day, the salty taste felt like a sweet one.

It wasn't like ``a flavored oden has miso sauce'', but the miso sauce was completely the main flavor, and the konnyaku played a role like a foundation for putting miso in the mouth. It's a waste to leave miso sauce, so I wiped it off with konjac and finished it cleanly.

'Ieyasu Tokugawa' arrived at the timing when I finished eating 'Miso Oden'. While waiting, the names of military commanders flew around the store, saying, 'Thank you for waiting, Naomasa,' and 'Tadakatsu Honda, please wait a little longer.'

On both sides of the cream are cookies with the motif of the fern placket attached to Ieyasu's helmet.

Sponges and creams are lined up around the cookies.

Plenty of matcha-flavored powder is applied to the cream, giving it a rich matcha flavor.

Eating cream and cookies together adds a crisp texture and is good.

Matcha ice cream was hidden under the cream.

I ate parfait two days in a row, but I didn't get tired of it because I was able to enjoy completely different parfaits, such as a kiwi-based refreshing parfait and a rich matcha-flavored parfait. It would be interesting not only to share different types of parfait with multiple people, but also to try to complete the parfait many times.
