We announced that Xerox donated the Palo Alto Research Institute, which is known for having a great impact on the history of computer science and producing numerous human resources, to SRI International. SRI International describes it as 'a fusion of icons of innovation'.

“This decision allows both Xerox and Palo Alto Labs to focus on delivering solutions that align with their respective strengths and capabilities,” said Xerox CEO Steve Bandrowczak. While SRI will sustain significant technological innovation, Xerox will be able to simplify and optimize operations, allowing us to focus our solutions on the continued evolution of hybrid work.'

As part of this donation, Xerox will enter into a priority research agreement called the Technology Exploration and Innovation Program, and SRI will provide contract research and development services to Xerox and its customers. Also, through a joint program, Xerox and SRI have the ultimate goal of creating a roadmap to proof of concept and implementation on topics related to the print, digital and IT services businesses.
