I ate the Japanese sweets `` Mizumanju '' of Purupuru Mochimochi chilled with ice water in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, the city of water
Blessed with
Water steamed buns, Kinchoen manju, Japanese sweets from Ogaki, the city of water, famous confectionery Kinchoen Sohonke

Mizumanju is sold at many Japanese confectionery shops around Ogaki City. This time, we headed to ' Kinchoen Sohonke Ogaki Ekimae Main Store ' located next to JR Ogaki Station.
Arrive at Ogaki station.
'Kinchoen Sohonke Ogaki Ekimae Main Store' is located a few tens of seconds on foot from the south exit of Ogaki Station.
'Kinchoen Sohonke Ogaki Ekimae Main Store' sells mizumanju both inside and outside the store, and there was a crowd in front of the store.
In the water tank installed at the front of the store, the mizumanju was submerged in the water, and the staff took out the mizumanju according to the customer's order.
Mizumanju can be ordered in combinations such as '4 strained bean paste', '2 strained bean paste, and 2 matcha bean paste'. This time, I ordered a '3-kind mix' that includes '2 strained bean paste, 1 matcha bean paste, and 1 seasonal bean paste (peach bean paste in July).' The price is 520 yen including tax.
I will move to a nearby bench and eat the purchased water manju.
The package looks like this.
The ingredients displayed on the back of the package are as follows. The name is raw confectionery, and raw materials such as sugar, kudzu powder, white bean paste, adzuki beans, bracken powder, sweet potato starch, and starch syrup are used.
First of all, I will eat it from koshian. The transparent dough slips smoothly into your mouth, and you can enjoy the chewy texture when you chew it. Not only the bean paste but also the fabric has sweetness, so the overall sweetness is strong. It was soaked in water until just before eating, so it cools your mouth and throat.
The matcha bean paste has a sweet and faintly bitter taste that goes well with the sweet dough.
The peach bean paste, which is only available in July, has a scent of peach through my nose, and I felt it was more chilly than other flavors.
This time, I will order water manju at the store of 'Kinchoen Sohonke Ogaki Ekimae Main Store'. Orders for food and drink are accepted at the cash register.
The menu looks like this. A set of 2 is 400 yen including tax, a set of 3 is 530 yen including tax, and both come with green tea as a set.
3 pieces are like this.
The water bun is immersed in ice water, and the glass tableware is also cold.
I scooped the water bun with a spoon and shot a movie that shows the feeling of pulling.
When I ate it, it was chilled with ice water, so it felt cool and refreshing, and my mouth and throat became cold. The coldness and sweetness will quickly recover the physical strength that was taken away by the heat of the sun.
The mizu manju has a strong sweetness, but when you eat it in the store, it comes with ice cream and cold green tea, so you can enjoy it while refreshing the sweetness.
2 pieces are like this. It's fun to eat and drink outside the store where you can see the scooping scene from the water tank, but on a hot day, we also recommend eating and drinking inside the store where you can enjoy ice-cold mizumanju.
In addition, the water manju of 'Kinchoen Sohonke Ogaki Ekimae Main Store' is sold for a limited time from late April to late September, and in addition to koshian and matcha bean paste, monthly fruit bean paste (July: peach bean paste, August: You can also enjoy salt lemon bean paste, September: fig bean paste).
