Added 'Feeds' function to list only friends' posts on Facebook
When you start the Facebook app, you will see a 'news feed' with posts from your friends and recommended posts determined by Facebook's algorithm. It turns out that this news feed is split into ' Feeds ', which contains only friends' posts, and ' Home ', which contains recommended posts. The news feed split will take place in July 2022.
Introducing Home and Feeds on Facebook | Meta
Below are the images of 'Home' and 'Feeds' shown by Facebook. 'Home' and 'Feeds' have been added to the 'Shortcut bar' displayed at the bottom of the screen for iOS and at the top of the screen for Android.
Whereas traditional news feeds show a mix of friends'posts and Facebook-chosen posts, Feeds only shows friends' posts. You can also view posts by category in Feeds, such as 'Favorites,' 'Friends,' and 'Groups.'
In addition, Feeds can be pinned or hidden like any other menu displayed in the shortcut bar.
If you want to see the list of posts including posts selected by Facebook, which is the same as the conventional news feed, you can display 'Home'. If you play the movie posted by CEO Mark Zuckerberg below, you can see how the post is viewed while swapping 'Home' and 'Feeds'.
'Facebook needs to make sure you don't miss your friends'posts,' Zuckerberg said, arguing that using 'Feeds' improves the list of friends' posts.
In addition, 'Home' and 'Feeds' are said to be 'already deployed for some people and will be rolled out globally within the next week', so it is expected to be available in Japan by the end of July 2022.
