The 'power system map' that summarizes the power grids spread all over Japan is a masterpiece

Many power plants are in operation in Japan, supplying electricity to each region. If you look at the power system map created by

@chizutodesign , you can see exactly what route the power is supplied through.

@chizutodesign said that he collected information released by electric power companies and created an electric power system map over two years. The orange line in the figure below shows the power system managed by the TEPCO Power Grid , and you can see that the power system is laid out in multiple layers around Tokyo.

The power system (green) managed by the

Tohoku Electric Power Network looks like this. The thick line shows the 500kV transmission line and the ± 250kV DC interconnection line, and the thin line shows the 275kV transmission line. In Kanto, thick lines were arranged so as to surround Tokyo, but in Tohoku, only one thick line runs.

According to @chizutodesign, only the data open to the public was used to create the power system map. In the following tweets, you can check the materials referred to and points to keep in mind regarding the disclosure of power system information.

In addition to the power system map, @chizutodesign has released interesting maps such as the ' Tokyo Last Train Map ' and the ' Shinkansen Arrival Time Map '. The maps that @chizutodesign has published so far are organized into the following moments.
