Russian government's Internet censorship authority 'Roskomnadzor' was hacked and 820GB, about 360,000 or more files leaked to the Internet
Russia's Federal Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media Surveillance Authority (Roskomnadzor) , as the name implies, is a federal executive body responsible for monitoring, censoring and controlling Russian mass media and net media. It is reported that more than 360,000 files and databases of 820GB in total have been leaked from such Roskomnadzor network.

The leak was a record of Roskomnadzor's activities in the Republic of Bashkortostan , which constitutes the Russian Federation, with 363,994 files in 43,593 directories, a total of 526.9 GB of files, and a total of 290.6 GB of proprietary format. This is a database file. In addition, journalist Lorax B. Horne who reported the leaked file did not reveal the source of the leaked file.
Most of the files are email attachments, including a very new one, which was last updated 6 days before the article was created, March 5, 2022. In addition, the database consists of two directories, one for legal research and one for personnel procedures.
