The video download function is provided for YouTube Premium subscribers.

If you access 'https://www.youtube.com/new ' while logged in to YouTube, the function 'Download video from browser' is displayed. The usage is like 'Click the' Download 'button while watching the video, or click the other menu while browsing.'

In addition, the video download function provided on YouTube says, 'By downloading the video file when connecting to Wi-Fi, you can watch the video without consuming communication volume even in places where Wi-Fi is not connected.' This is a so-called offline viewing function, and downloaded files can only be handled by a browser.

The feature will be available for a limited time until October 19, 2021 (Tuesday), after which it is unknown whether it will be officially implemented.
