◆ Background update enabled
In Firefox for Windows, a mechanism has been introduced to automatically update to the latest version even if Firefox is not running. This feature is enabled by default, but if you want to disable it, you can change it in the 'Update Firefox' section of the settings.

◆ Added a page where you can list information on third-party modules.
Firefox for Windows now has a page where you can list information about third-party modules that are not signed by Microsoft and Mozilla. You can access it by typing 'about: third-party' in the address bar, and you'll see the module name, vendor name, loading time, crash warning, and more.

◆ Manageable exceptions in 'https mode'

https mode is a function introduced in Firefox 83 that blocks http communication, and is a mode that enhances security when using public wireless LAN. From Firefox 90, you can specify exception sites in the 'Privacy and Security' settings.

◆ Hyperlinks are enabled when printing to PDF
When you specify PDF as the page print destination, the hyperlink information is now saved at the same time.

◆ You can log in with your Facebook account even while using SmartBlock.
Previously, if you enabled the SmartBlock feature to block cross-site tracking, Facebook scripts would be blocked and 'Login with Facebook' would not be available. From Firefox 90, you can use 'Login with Facebook' while protecting your privacy by loading the Facebook script the moment you click 'Login with Facebook'.

◆ Updates for developers
-Emphasis on EXIF information in image size and resolution
If the image has the appropriate EXIF information, Firefox will now determine the size and resolution based on that EXIF information. It is useful when installing low quality placeholders or when changing the image according to the bandwidth. Other use cases are also

documented .

-Support for private field methods is enabled in JavaScript Class
At the same time, the 'in ' operator for checking the existence of private field methods is also supported.

-Supports ' Fetch metadata request header '
Firefox has added the ability to improve security by sending additional information to the server, such as 'which site you are accessing from'.

-FTP support is completely removed
As announced in Firefox 88 , FTP support has been completely removed.

Firefox 90 also includes a number of security fixes.

The next major version, Firefox 91, will be released on August 10th, local time.
