Still, if you temporarily move the games you don't play to USB extended storage, you won't have to reinstall the games when you play them again.
'Super Speed USB 5Gbps or later' and '250GB or more, 8TB or less capacity' are indicated as the conditions for USB expansion storage that can be used with PS5. Also, you need to format it in advance to use it on PS5.
To format the USB storage, select 'Settings' at the top right of the home screen with the USB storage connected to the USB port on the back of the PS5.
Select 'Storage'.
