Twitch's popular emote 'Pog Champ' is removed, maybe due to comments on a former Capitol attack on the Capitol
Emoticons and stamps called emotes are often used on Twitch , a live game distribution platform. On January 7, 2020, Twitch announced that it had removed 'Pog Champ,' which is especially popular with such emotes. The reason for the deletion is that there was a problem with the statement of the person from whom PogChamp was derived.

'Pog Champ' is an emote that Gootecks, a fighting game player living in the United States and famous as an interviewer and commentary on the actual situation , cut out the face when the camera shook and was surprised in the following movie. This face became popular because it was very comical, and it came to be used on the bulletin board sites 4chan and Twitch. Especially on Twitch, PogChamp was the top five used emotes.

On January 6, 2020, a demonstrator by Trump's supporters broke through security and invaded the United States Capitol, where a joint session of the Senate and Senate was held to finalize the outcome of the US presidential election. The deliberations were suspended and a woman in the demonstrators was shot and killed.

The incident shocked the world and many mentioned the issue. In it, Gootecks said, 'Will there be a riot for a woman executed in the Capitol, or will she die as a martyr?' He also mentioned the current situation where Twitter is deleting movies related to the attack, adding that ' Big Brother Twitter does not allow related movies to be posted.'
PS Big Brother Twitter wouldn't let me post the url so if you don't think big tech censorship is real, there you go ???? ♂️

This Gootecks tweet received some backlash. For example, activist and official Twitch distributor Zombaekillz said, 'I think Pog Champ should be turned off,' and posted a tweet on Twitch accusing Gootecks.

And on January 7, 2020, Twitch's official account announced that 'after the events at the Capitol, we decided to remove PogChanp's emotes in response to statements that would encourage further violence.' Did.
We've made the decision to remove the PogChamp emote following statements from the face of the emote encouraging further violence after what took place in the Capitol today.

The official Twitch account says, 'We want to keep PogChamp's emotes and uses alive. Its meaning is much larger than the characters and images depicted, and it's a big part of the Twitch culture, but conscience. I can't continue to use images on Twitch, 'he said, with a new emote to replace PogChamp.
We want the sentiment and use of Pog to live on – its meaning is much bigger than the person depicted or image itself – and it has a big place in Twitch culture. However, we can't in good conscience continue to enable use of the image.
