I have reviewed the following article about what kind of game Factorio is.

According to Wube Software, which develops Factorio, since its production project started on the crowdfunding site 'IndieGoGo' in 2013, it has received 18,855 bug reports, and repeated feedback each time, about 5603 places. It is said that they have made repeated improvements. Also, regarding user volunteers who have been translating, editing the official Wiki, and developing tools, 'Factorio's fan community is very civilized, all contributors are new to each other, criticizing in a constructive sense. I am grateful for their help.'

Counting from the start of game development itself, it took 8.5 years for version 1.0 to be released. The basic part of the game is said to be available in version 0.18 released in January 2020, and version 1.0 has a strong meaning to 'complete' the game called Factorio.

The two major points added in version 1.0 are as follows.

◆1: A spaceship that crashed in free play is added
Factorio started when I accidentally landed on an unknown planet, the stage of the game. At the start of the game, a crashing spaceship (Crash site) will appear near the main character.

The following movie is where the game actually started in free play in single mode.

When you start Freeplay, in the previous version, the player was standing in the wilderness of a strange star, but in this version, the player is standing by a crashing and burning spaceship.

When I checked the remains of the spaceship, I got a bullet.

Also, from the falling pieces, we were able to get an iron plate that is the raw material for pipes and iron gears.

◆ 2: Add Spidertron and Spidertron remote
The mysterious insect-type creatures inhabit the planet where Factorio is set up, attacking the protagonists and factories in swarms. Also, when the hero expands the factory and the environment of the planet deteriorates, insect type organisms multiply and evolve.

To combat this, the protagonist can equip various weapons and arm the factory with automated robots. At the end of the tree, a multi-legged tank called the 'Spidertron' was added in the 'research' that needed to be undertaken to develop the hero's armament. Spidertron does not require fuel to operate, and the main character can move around while ignoring obstacles while attacking the surroundings with lasers and rockets.

In the movie below, you can see how Spidertron attacks a large swarm of insect creatures. The movement and activity up to that deceptiveness is such a violence that it is appropriate to call it 'Jurin'.

It fires rockets as well as lasers.

Also, launch a missile at a place where insect-type creatures are gathering.

It was a nuclear missile that was launched. A huge fireball burns out a large number of insect-type creatures.

Also, if you develop an item called Spidertron remote and use it for Spidertron, you can automatically move Spidertron to the specified location.

In version 1.0, in addition to the above two points, acoustics, graphics, detailed settings have been added, and bugs have been fixed.

Factorio is available on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux for 3000 yen including tax. It also supports Japanese, and a trial version of Factorio Demo is also available for free.
