' Box Breathing ' is a breathing method that calms you down and is also used by the Navy SEALs , the special forces of the U.S. Navy. It is also called 'Tactical Breathing', but it is a breathing method that anyone can easily do with just 4 steps.

The Box Breathing breathing method is said to have the effect of relieving stress by regulating the autonomic nervous system . Doing it in a quiet, private place while listening to music will have a more relaxing effect, but you can also do it with your eyes open to get a calming effect. QuietKit, a website that teaches meditation methods, creates GIF animations that you can use to perform Box Breathing anytime, anywhere.

There are four steps to Box Breathing:
1: Breathe in for 4 seconds. (As the blue circle expands)
2: Hold the air in your lungs for 4 seconds. (until the largest size blue circle starts to shrink)
3: Exhale for 4 seconds. (As the blue circle shrinks)
4: Hold the lungs empty for 4 seconds (until the smallest blue circle starts to expand)

Although it is a very simple breathing method, its effectiveness has been proven, as it has even been adopted by the US Navy's special forces. If you save QuietKit's GIF animation on your smartphone, you should be able to calm yourself down anytime and anywhere.
