That's why Manhattan in Tianjin is also expected to be like Nakasu. I had no idea where I was converting to ghost town, so I decided to aim for Manhattan in Tianjin for the time being.

A place with a star. It is a district about 35 km away from the center of Tianjin.


I came to the place I wanted by walking to the GPS with one hand, but there was a police station on the big road entering the center so we passed. There was no courage to sharpen the camera at the end of the police's visibility. Before the bridge there was a park and a boardwalk, so I came through the center from there.

It was not wrong. I was making a landscape like New York.

The Manhattan area was under construction so I was satisfied that there were no people. It is not a ghost town. But there was a suspicious place. There is no indication of people in the district opposite the Manhattan district. That premonition is stunning. The area beyond the bridge is ghost town.

There are few people and cars that do not match the sight that the skyscrapers line up.


The explanation that "the inhabitants have gone" is exactly the same. It's too quiet.


You can not hear anyone's voice from the closed door.

There are buildings where construction is stopped though it is near completion.


It feels like stopping here as well. It was a Thursday visit.

Walking here, my head is getting confused as to whether the concrete bare building is ruined or under construction.


Despite the size of the city as much as this, I feel lonely that there is only a daily shop. There seemed to be some buildings where people live, but it was obvious that they did not function as a city.

There was a bus stop when walking to the vicinity of the aquarium called "Tianjin Kaichang Polar Ocean World". If you visit this ghost town, you will find it easier to aim for an aquarium. From bus station take bus line to Tangxi station. Afterwards I will return to Tianjin station by train. There was a train line separately for the subway.
