"TypeSlab" which can create a poster image by automatically laying out characters just by entering characters

A service that automatically layouts the characters entered in the text box and finishes it in a stylish poster style is "TypeSlab"is. Since it is said that it corresponds not only to English but also to Japanese, I actually made a poster with TypeSlab.

TypeSlab - simple, shareable typographic posters
http://typeslab.com/

When you open the site, a page like the image below is displayed. When you type a character in the gray text box on the left side of the page, you automatically lay out the characters you type in the text box on the right side, and in the initial state it will be "Whatever you write here will be rendered as a slab - Type poster! ~ "TypeSlab usage is entered.

The font defaults to "Avenir Next"Or"Sigmar One"Raleway"Alfa Slab One"Gentium Book Basic"Playfair DisplayThe font of the screen also changes when you click on the font name.

Sigmar One feels pop.

Raleway.

Alfa Slab One is close to what you see on the poster of the prize money of Western play.

Italic Gentium Book Basic.

Italian italic Playfair Display decorated.

12 types of color schemes are lined up in the lower left of the screen, and it is also possible to change the colors of the posters you created.

Try clicking on "JAFFA" and selecting it, the whole area on the right side of the screen is the same as the icon the orange color.

After checking the basic operation, we will actually create a poster. First of all, if you type "You" ... ...

It was quite a big size "YOU" was displayed.

Enter the remaining sentences "You can not connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards". Incidentally, the input sentence isSteve Jobs's wordsis.

When I entered a sentence without any line breaks, it was messed up with small characters. Since this does not look like a poster ......

Let's break it with "You can not".

Then it was displayed larger than "You can not" on the first line. When the number of characters in one line is small, the font size becomes large, and conversely when the number of characters is large, the font size becomes small.

So I try to break the line so that the number of characters does not deviate to one line as shown below.

This made the poster looking rather than the case without line breaks. However, the character has protruded from the text box.

If you set the font to Sigmar One, it fits neatly into the text box.

Alfa Slab One makes me feel a bit cool.

It is also ant to stylish with Playfair Display.

TypeSlab also supports Japanese, so I will create a poster in Japanese. Haiku in early Edo period ·Yamaguchi SendoThe famous phrase "To the eyes are the Aoba mountain steamed rootsEnter.

If you do not enter a line break again, it will appear as a simple sentence.

So I tried putting a line break.

It got a lot better now, but with the default Avenir Next the letters overlap.

Even with Raleway, letters overlap a little.

As a result of various experiments, Playfair Display is perfect for Japanese layout.

Stylish with black background.

When it is light blue, the letters of "bowl of rice" will shine considerably.

When the background is red and the letters are black, feel strong.

This time a little longer "movie used 11811 Blew away room 148 Stolen alive 97 Broken promise 35 Blasted building 12 and toilet bowl 1" Movie "Lethal Weapon 4"I entered a catch phrase of.

With Avenir Next, the characters overlap each other as before and there is a problem with the layout.

When Alfa Slab One is selected, the overlapping of letters becomes an unnoticeable level, but it lacks the impact.

With the Playfair Display there was nothing wrong with the layout. Playfair Display seems to be suitable for Japanese layout.

I made the background red and finished it with a strong feeling. The created poster is the image upload siteImgurYou can post it to me, or save it locally. For this time, click "Save Locally" and save it locally.

If you check "Save file" and click "OK", it can save locally. The poster was saved as a PNG format image, and the file size of the created poster was 30.6 KB.
