I went to a free national modern art museum "Tate Modern" which remodeled the building which was a huge power station

All the national museums and museums in the UK are open to entrance fee free of charge, and anyone can feel free to visit. Among the many national art museums in London, one that is distinctive is the fact that the building which was a huge power station was rebuilt and opened as a modern art museum "Tate Modern"So, not only the stored art works but also the buildings are worth seeing at first glance so I actually tried going.

Tate modern is on the Thames River in London.

The Tate Modern is an appearance not seen at the museum at first glance.

The towering chimney is a remnant of the building when it was a power station.

There is a beautiful park of lawn in front of Tate Modern.

Entrance from here entrance.

There was a shop near the entrance.

When entering, we will appear in the space named the huge turbine · hall which blows through the floor up to the 7th floor.

From the second floor you can see how huge the turbine hall is.

The space opposite to the entrance is a space where nothing is installed, but the space is overwhelming.

There is a ticket office in the turbine hall near the entrance and it is currently being donePaul KleeA person asking for the ticket was making a queue.

The Tate Modern is a seven-story building designed with each floor installed beside a large turbine hall. In the UK, the 0th floor corresponds to the 1st floor of Japan.

Early entry.

Shooting, eating and drinking in flash are prohibited in the hall.

Next to the entrance on the second floor, a cute design donation box was set up.

On the 2nd floor introduces the Tate Modern project which is newly being expanded. The tour floor is written as the first floor, but it is the second floor in Japan.

This is a newly expanded building model.

There is also a space called a learning center, where a lecture will be given to children who visited with excursions and the like.

Go to the exhibition space with an elevator.

As soon as I got up to the 3rd floor, the sofa was set up in the aisle so that I could take a rest whenever I got tired.

On the 3rd floor exhibits artworks with the theme of "POETRY AND DREAM" (poetry and dream).

When entering the exhibition space, various large and small paintings are displayed on the wall.

Pablo Picassoof"A bust of a woman wearing a hatAnd ...

Salvador Daliof"Transfiguration of NarcisIt is also one of the attractions of Tate modern that you can watch valuable famous paintings such as.

Also, interactive art that shows peeping through a small hole in a long thin wooden box is also exhibited.

There were exhibits that sit in a chair and see the image.

This is a propaganda poster of the former Soviet era when Lenin ruled.

After observing the exhibits on the 3rd floor, we went to the 4th floor.

There is a cafe that can be eaten on the 4th floor.

There is a terrace besides the sofa installed in the cafe, it is also possible to chill while seeing the scenery outside.

The terrace offers panoramic views of London.

The works on display on the 4th floor are centered on large installations that boldly used a large space.

On the floor where art objects are on display, we arrive at the 5th floor, which hits the top floor.

On the 5th floor, works of the concept "ENERGY AND PROCESS (energy and process)" are exhibited.

In a room with a work that was painfully drawn with red paint, there were also guests with parents and children.

Minimum art such as Dan Fraivin's work "Artist Rooms" using fluorescent lamps is also on exhibition.

In addition, there are rooms where photos are decorated narrowly, so you can see not only paintings but also various types of art works.

Looking at the turbine hall from the 5th floor is like this.

The ceiling part where the steel frame is exposed is likely to forget that it is an art museum.

Because the 6th floor of the Tate Modern members' floor exclusive of members can not enter, I came to the 7th floor of the top floor. There is a cafe and restaurant on the 7th floor.

In this seat you can relax with a drink slowly while watching the scenery of London.

The view from the window looks like this.

I ordered 2.5 pounds (about 420 yen) cappuccino at the cafe. Allowing you to look back at the artwork you visited while slowly walking in the café after you wandering around the large hall.
